Bezecny House
Lauderdale By The Sea, Florida
1963
The client was a young dentist, his wife and two little boys. The site was a basic neighborhood lot with the need for privacy from all sides.
The solution was a seven foot high wall virtually around the entire lot at the building setback lines with the enclosed living space an "L" shape. The living space then opened to a covered and screened Lanai, and then out to a private walled Terrace and Garden.
The structure was my old familiar 6' module post and beam wood roof all at one level. I don't remember ever drawing a formal preliminary floor plan, and working drawings proceeded directly from the rough sketch.
