Church House
Pompano Beach, Florida
1962
A small house with a big screened Lanai, it was intended to capture the southeast breezes from the ocean, which was nearby.
The structure is 6' modular wood post and beam, with a flat roof over the Lanai and Carport, and a low sloping shed roof over the interior living areas. The main exterior enclosing walls are exposed concrete block and interior walls vertical Cypress boards.
The owners were jazz enthusiasts and the Living Room stereo system was 1962 state of the art.
