Leech House
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
1969
The client was a newly married old friend. The exterior design was an interplay of shingled forms and brick vertical elements…….basically flat roofs with a gable roof over the main living space. The brick floor of the outside entry and foyer carried thru and became the hearth of the massive brick fireplace. The master bedroom was on the second floor, overlooking the living room, and was connected by a bridge to the library, which was an open balcony over the fireplace.
Unfortunately, it did not pass the financing criteria for the neighborhood.
