Mountain Rental Apartments
Cashiers, North Carolina
2000
This was a concept for a friend who owned property in Cashiers, which was conveniently located, and thought it might be right for affordable, quality rental apartments.
The idea was to make major use of SIPPS (structural insulated plywood panels) which would form floors, walls and roofs, spanning 8' between floor and roof beams. The units could be joined in groupings of two or more, depending on the terrain. The plan was based on a 4'x4' module.
