1979 to 1985

            Raffle's at the Dadeland Mall in south Miami was the first of nine locations, primarily at major shopping mall entrances. I was a partner in Creative Restaurants, Inc. which aggressively pursued mall sites with good demographics, and for five or six years rapidly expanded.
            Raffle's at Dadeland Mall, our first prototype, was relatively small (125 seats), hugely popular, successful and very profitable. It was also cheap to build and hind sight would reveal that we probably should have stopped there.
