The Saloon at Arvida Executive Inn
Boca Raton, Florida
1980
The client, Arvida Realty, had plans to build a two story hotel, and this project was to be integrated into one end of the building. It was intended also to function as a free standing bar as well as a hotel amenity.
A dramatic two story wood truss structure was a part of the outside façade and would continue well into the interior. The ceiling was to be a copper slat acoustical system. The partial two story space had two bars downstairs and a seating loft above served by an antique drink lift.
I don't remember why it didn't get built.
