DOWN UNDER

            The Down Under was the first of what would come to be many restaurant projects. It was located on the Intracoastal Waterway and "down under" the Oakland Park bridge.
            Heavy timber and reclaimed utility poles were the structural system…… artfully laid old brick, wrought iron, a wonderful collection of Victorian and Art Nouveau antiques and numerous architectural artifacts were woven into the design as it unfolded.
            It was immensely successful for probably twenty years and had a happy hour crowd that was legend.
