Isom House #2

Parkland, Florida

             The clients had sold the Plantation Key House (Isom House-1991). The site for the new house was an acreage parcel wooded with Pine trees and Palmetto thickets. This was to be their full time house and the property offered great privacy.
             The structure was primarily flat roofs, penetrated by several copper clad gable roofs…….wood post and beam, white stucco walls, geometrically ordered with a massive fireplace chimney.
             After working drawings were completed, the clients decided they had made a mistake in thinking that they could be happy without water and a boat in their back yard. They found an existing house in Jupiter, on a wide river, and we spent the next year radically remodeling.
